I need a website to take orders for a book.
When someone clicks “Buy Aunt Peggy Today”, it needs to go to a page similar to Amazon & other “checkout” pages. It also needs a place for a code. The code will cause a discount to be applied and provide me with a record of what code was used. The discount may be different for different codes. It also needs to show free shipping in the USA, with options for foreign addresses & expedited shipping.
My plan for now is to use PayPal, but may want to accept credit cards in the future.
I have a website and a host. A friend tried to help by creating the current content on the site using wordpress.
I am a novice, so need information regarding things like how I will know when an order is placed.
Do you have experience that will help in doing this work for me?
