Our newspaper is seeking a virtual freelance writer who can assist with ongoing news and feature writing assignments. Assignments will be assigned to you, with complete instructions and contact information for potential interview subjects (if needed). We assign weekly on Wednesdays, pay varies by the content ordered. You could be asked to write anything from a 1,000 word arts and leisure feature on a local winery to a hard news story on racial profiling. Versatile writers with newspaper journalism experience preferred. Unfortunately, we may only accept native U.S. English writers and speakers for this assignment. We cannot work with anyone outside the United States because you will be working with people in a small, rural, Texas community.
