This application is designed to help my clients schedule appointments and manage their workforce. This client will utilize RSSBus for QuickBooks Connectivity and Telerik Scheduler Control and should be written in C#. Visual Studio 2013 is the preferred compiler with the .net 4.5 Framework. Application shall be self updating. RSSBus is already shipping with one of our products, so if the remote connector is already installed, we will use it. If not, the remote connector and remote connector service need to be installed. This application will be used on multiple PC’s.

Data Sources

This application will connect to a REST Web service and make sure the license is enabled.

Another REST Web Service will supply year make and model information that will be cached locally and available and updated monthly from service.

QuickBooks will be initial data connection. Additional data connections will added in the future, so data model and methods shouldn't be tied directly to QuickBooks.

Operation

Application will read from the QuickBooks Employee table and create schedule for each active employee. Inactive employees will not be displayed. Each employee should be given its own column in the schedule.

Each appointment can be of any length and employees can be double booked at the discretion of user.

Each appointment will be called a work order, which is in QuickBooks is an Estimate. Each work order will include the client information, which can be pulled from QuickBooks. If client doesn't exist, you can also create a new client directly from this UI, that will push the new client directly to QuickBooks as a new client. Fields will include, first name, last name, mobile phone, home phone, business phone, address street 1, street 2, city, state, postal code, country.

Year Make and Model information will be available and should be stored in the invoice as a custom field.

When a work order is completed, it will be converted to an invoice and have a payment applied to it.

User should have the ability to enter line items directly from QuickBooks into the work order screen. All QuickBooks items, including groups and services should be supported. All sales tax and other functions should be done in QuickBooks and displayed in the scheduler.

There should be a button on the work orders for payments. Clients can make several payments on a work order, so all existing payments should be visible and user should have the ability to record a new payment. Payment screen shall have all of the fields from the QuickBooks payment screen.

Once an appointment is created, it should be uploaded to a Microsoft Dynamics CRM system im realtime. If the record changes in the scheduler, it should be updated in dynamics CRM.

All configuration screens will be in one area. There should be a Api key and other configuration items as needed.

Local Data can be stored in a local database. Flat file type of database is the preferred method. SQL CE is a fall back position.
