I have a hoist up a cliff that at present requires someone to be at the top to operate the lever of a hydraulic motor that turns a drum which winds up and down a basket (pulled by a 6mm ss wire.
A 3-ph motor drives the hydraulics which switches on at the top of the hoist
A photo is attached of the hoist and basket at the top.
It probably needs limit switches top and bottom that slows and stops the movement where required - there are 2 intermediate points that I would also like the option of stopping the basket at.
The length of the main cable suspending the basket is approx 110m.
Ideally I would like an app that would serve as controller but I am not very fussy whether it is i/n controlled or rf.
I have thought that a drone controller could drive relays to switch things on and off but would probably need to change to a proportional hydraulic motor so that gradual slowing is possibleand no elec/mech device is needed to push and pull the lever.
