A website that contains 2 automotive design calculator:

1) A calculator that could generate the profile of the cam disc based on the desired displacement behavior of the follower.

The calculator should be able to accept input by the user which include but not limited to the type of follower, types of follower displacement, base radius of the cam, offset distances etc. These inputs have to be clearly defined and displayed. Once these input parameters have been inserted the displacement diagram should be shown and plot.

2) A calculator that will enable a designer or user to generate the ratios for a gear box. The user will have the freedom to define the specifications of the vehicle which include the mass of the vehicle, the weight distribution of the vehicle, size of the tire, between front wheel drive (FWD) or rear wheel drive (RWD), road coefficient adhesion, number of gears etc. The user will also be able to choose the different methods when determining the intermediate gear ratios.

The output of the calculator should include but not limited to the following: All gear ratios, maximum slope or gradability, and maximum speed of the vehicle at maximum engine torque/power

The user interface should be accessible and easy to navigate to. Both calculators are standalone, not integrated onto each other.
