So basically how the Social Fixer (browser extension) does it according to them, is they simulate typing into a textbox like "a" and facebook will return with info of your friends to basically create @ tags. And that's how they're able to retrieve the current users friendslist data.
For reference I included a pic of what data they can pull.
All I'm interested in is the name, photo url, and profile url. Then maybe save that into an html file or something similar.
