Add function to wordpress theme

I bought the "widezine" theme from themeforest but I need different functionality for the homepage slider. I would like to integrate the functionalty of the "amuse" themes' home slider which is either an html slider or a "small image slider". I need to be able to insert 1 or more slides that include an image and html text. I can send you the amuse theme for guidance on the functionality.
