php code to manipulate xml

We have about 30 types of xml files that need to be changed slighly to fit other formats.

The manipulation only includes changing certain attributes and eliminating certain elements.

An example is

<format1 xmlns="ns1" attrib1="something" attrib2="something">

<element1 .../>

<element2.../>

</format1>

We want a code that can convert this to

<format1 xlmns="ns2" atrrib1="somethingelse">

<element1 .../>

</format1>

The transformations are extremely simple and well defined (xml schemas are available).

The issue is that we need this to be done in the next few days and tested. This requires about writing very similar 30 php functions in about 10 php files.

We need a very simple, clean and extensible code. An abstract base type needs to be defined. All common transformations need to be defined in an array.

We also need a static function called transform(). The signature of this function is

transform(DOM, new-type)

We also need you to create a regression test to test all functions and then run schemaValidate to verify correctness and report any problems. This requires samples to be created manually.

An actual set of samples along with xml schemas can be provided if interested.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
