Develop a system that can collect information about businesses and store that information in a database. This system should be written in Java, run a Linux server, and the data should be stored in a MySQL database.
• Potential sources of this information are Google, Yelp, [login to view URL], [login to view URL], ASIC etc.
• The system needs to collect the information on an ongoing basis so new businesses are added and failed businesses are removed (marked as hidden) from the database.
• Initial target locations for businesses are Sydney and Melbourne. Later we will want to add the Australian Capital cities, and eventually all of Australia.
Successful delivery of this project will be achieved when:
• The database contains information about 5000 or more business.
• 60% of the businesses have contact information in the form of an email address and/or a phone number.
• Random manual validation of the data shows it to be correct 85% of the time.
