We require a freelancer to build us a very comprehensive art selling platform from scratch. The project is not complex, but there is a large amount of functionality required and so we imagine it will take a lot of work to build.
The website is a platform for selling artwork online. The three main stakeholders are the Artist, the consumer, and ourselves as the fulfilment partner.
The site will allow artists to upload images they create, and then allow consumers to purchase these images in a printed form. A range of printed products will be available including canvas prints, framed prints, acrylic prints etc etc.
The payment milestones will be heavily weighted towards the end of the project. Too many times, freelancers never finish the project and we end up paying for a half finished site that is no use to anyone. Please do not bid unless you understand this thoroughly.
We will provide significant input into the design of the site (including sending screenshots of each page).
The basic functionality for each stakeholder is in the attached word document.
We would like the platform to be developed so that it can be easily adapted and maintained by future developers. We were thinking a MYSQL backend with a php front end, but we are happy to be guided by your ideas.
I've also attached sitemaps showing both the front end and the back end. Please ask questions prior to bidding if your need clarification.
I want to reiterate that this is a significantly large project. Please make sure that you take this into account in your bid. If you do not understand the project then please clarify BEFORE you bid. Once you have bid then we expect you to complete the project for the amount bid.
