My previous two websites were what I would call "text based". That is, they contained no flash content bar a very simple app that performed the layering process. The rest was pure php with a mysql backend. As we're now a few years later I want to entertain the idea of having a functional flash based design.
The website in question is a doll dress up website. Previously, images were imported into the simple flash app and layered on top of one another to provide a completed illusion of a dressed up doll. Rather than doing it this way I would really like the entire design process to be flash based. That is, users can customize the body shape and color of their doll. Choose and custom their hair, clothes, make up and so on. All done within a flash app. This flash app must have the capability of posting to and retrieving from a MySQL database securely. This is very important.

I can do it in flash. But is a bad idea. Flash is dying, has no more than 5 years. Today the best approach is to do using jquery + css3. Lets talk sometime.
