Here is the problem: I have a website hosted on SiteGround which has been running fine. On Feb 28th the CPU seconds on the server for that site shot way up from 800 per hour to around 8,000 per hour.

I have reviewed your account and I can confirm the issue comes from the site which has performed the highest number of executions on the hosting plan:
With the highest IP Hits: 201431 -> [login to view URL] 17032 -> [login to view URL] The most plausible reason for this in my eyes is that your site is badly optimized and contains a lot of self-referencing scripts causing this extreme number of executions as seen as the highest IP noticed is [login to view URL], which is the server IP, which means there is a plugin, script or theme in the site that needs to be reviewed with a developer so that this can be stopped and it can stop generating so many self-referencing executions on the server and use less CPU. In this case, the CPU limit has been reached - 300% of the allowed and therefore limited.

I need a developer to troubleshoot the site and determine where the problem is. I need it back to around the 800 level, not 8000 levels.
You can see in the attached files how traffic is suddenly way up and specifically the /wp-admin/[login to view URL] I’m assuming this is part of the problem? reference this article - [login to view URL]
Could you check the website's plugins (as in most cases that's what's causing the high cpu usage). Also, double-check if all the traffic is coming from legit visitors (and not "bad" bots/crawlers). The last thing they can try is to replace the wordpress cron with real cron as per this article here [login to view URL]
Also add this rule in your website's .htaccess file and then test the website's behaviour/cpu usage:
