Build a football (soccer) video stats analyser

The aim of the project is to help analyse football (soccer) matches. The final goal of the project is to have the capability of ball and players' position analysis, creating heatmaps and statistics of different actions or situations. The objective is to run this over amateur video feeds of 5-a side soccer teams.
An initial specification was done on github, and this may be used as a base for building this up.
