The introduction of Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) has opened new possibilities for the manufacturing of turbomachinery and electro-mechanical components. Your task consist in doing a literature review and write a short but highly professional report covering:
1.- Introduction to metal 3D printing (additive manufacturing of metallic components)
2.- The use of metal 3D printing to manufacture magnetic stators using hyperco-50
3.- The use of metal 3D printing to manufacture high temperature components using inconel
4. - The use of metal 3D printing to manufacture high temperature solenoids using Aluminum carbide
5.- Commercial and manufacturing cost reduction opportunities, if any
Basic procedures, technical and commercial opportunities should be described. Pictures and diagrams can be added but not in excessive number (ideal number = less than 7 figures or pictures). Emphasis in desktop metal 3D printers, such as DM, is preferable. Total number of pages with relevant text: less than 10 and more than 4 pages (excluding covers, table of contents and any other reference). Font size: 10 or 11 pt.
