This experiments cover the two main blocks of artificial intelligence
1. Sensing: develop a system capable of extracting energy, magnitude and Zero Crossing Rate from audio signals.
2. Reasoning: develop a system capable of
1) representing audio data in terms of a few basic properties (average energy, average magnitude, average Zero Crossing Rate), and
2) inferring the type of audio data (speech or silence) via statistical approaches.
This report should NOT be completed with MATLAB, (Matlab, MatplotLib, etc.) is allowed only for plotting purposes.
