I have a MSI installer for a custom keyboard layout which depends on a few DLLs (located in its directory). However, publishing to the Microsoft Store requires a standalone installer, so I would like to convert the existing installer into a standalone one (preferably MSIX or MSI). Please note that I have already tried using standard tools like MSIX packaging tool and Advanced Installer, but to no avail: the created package installs fine, but the keyboard layout does not show up in the Windows taskbar. Hence, I am looking for a more advanced solution please.
Also, my keyboard layout still requires a patent - so I request a walkthrough on a dummy package (which can be made using MSKLC: Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator - or I can also share one), so that I could convert the original myself.
Please let me know of the estimated time and cost for this project. I have put only an approximate budget.
