Build a tool for event applications

We are a student organization (Junior Business Team, short: JBT), which organizes and hosts a recruiting event in a german city(name of the event: Hohenheim Consulting Week) for companies every year. The participating companies have their own day dedicated to them, so that the companies can meet students within an individually designed day (including dinner). Consequently, the event includes the same number of days as participating companies (last year ten days or companies). In the preceding to the event, students can apply for participation at the companies of their choice over a period of several weeks. It is at the applicant's choice how many companies or event days they apply to. Afterwards, the companies receive the data set of the respective applicants and can invite their favorite candidates to participate. Thus, with ten participating companies, there are ten different data sets with applicants.
Now, a new tool should be designed for the entire application management process, so that:
1. Students can submit their applications to selected companies via an easy-to-use application portal by entering their personal data.
2. Companies can easily check and filter the application data in an overview.
3. The JBT as admin can view all application data.
The tool is to be written in Typescript. React is to be used as the frontend framework and Material UI is to be used as the UI framework in with a global theme. Express is to be used as the framework in the backend and a MySQL database is to be used as the database. Authentication and authorization will be done using JWT and cookies.
