ISO 9001:2008 Quality management systems — Requirements is a document of approximately 30 pages which is available from the national standards organization in each country. It is supplemented by two other standards: ISO 9000:2005 Quality management systems — Fundamentals and vocabulary and ISO 9004:2009 Managing for the sustained success of an organization — A quality management approach. Only ISO 9001 is directly audited against for third party assessment purposes.

The software would consist of the user filling in surveys which would lead them to generate tutorials and help manuals adequate for their organization. A typical workflow would consist of the following:
1. What is the industry within which your company operates? This would be based on the NACE code or a list of industries as prescribed by ISO 9001.
2. How many employees do you have?
etc...
ISO 9001 manuals according to templates available by the client (if the project is accepted) can be asked of from the client.
The training manuals would be available in video/flash, generated PDFs and the text would be automatically updated according to the questionnaire; the process may be defined during the requirements development stage.
The front end design needs to be attractive, our client has recommended the use of [login to view URL] as a template for this software.
Access to the source code would be required, and, the software would have to be coded in a professional manners so that further information systems such as accounting systems and other systems would then be integrated within this system in the future if required.
The text within the office documents consisting of word documents need to be automatically updated in a search and replace fashion depending on the answers within the questionnaire. Other functions that were requested consist of copy and paste functions within the word documents that we think can be done either using .NET or another programmatic framework which can access the documents and have sufficient programming functionalities to allow the programmer to meet the clients' needs.
The client uses iPhones and iPads and therefore during the testing process, one would need to ensure that usability - suggestively according to ISO 9241 - standards meet the clients' expectations. Therefore the design needs to be flexible in a way that the project manager would eventually be able to review the design.
Further requirements although not major may arise according to the clients' aesthetic and possibly other requirements, you would need to provide for that, and, also allow for a reasonable period of maintenance, support and training to the project manager including the possible handing over of the source code, which would need to be held by the client as proprietary, so that it can be registered as intellectual property.
Links to social media including YouTube, search engine optimization would allow the user to review training videos and promotional videos created.
