I have experienced the contrast between practicing medicine in Egypt and the U.S. While in Egypt, as a rising surgeon, I worked tirelessly to become an excellent physician and graduated Magna Cum Laude from October 6 University in Cairo. My extensive training in the U.S. includes a rotation through Texas Heart Institute to further understand the diseases of the heart and a Family Medicine internship in Irvine, CA, where I learned about the standards of healthcare across the Atlantic ocean. Lately, I have represented the American Heart Association in multiple heart disease events. After finishing Medical school and graduating with honors, I find myself fond of writing. I have participated in various writing endeavors, most prominently in academic writing. I took part in two medical research publications; the most recent one was with the department of neurosurgery at the University of South California, KECK medical school. With my qualifications, I am confident I am a perfect match for research projects and medical writing in general.
