-Conducts economic and policy analysis to evaluate UC Berkeley's current online programs and new degree proposals. Areas of study are diverse and include public health, health policy & law, business, engineering, and others. - Designed and executed more than fifteen surveys of a combined 5,500 potential students to determine the impact of program features on student demand, optimal pricing, what types of students are most likely to apply, and to conduct market simulations. - Research results have been used to justify more than $8 million of university investment into four new degree programs, and to significantly redevelop three existing programs. - Employed a mix of quantitative methods such as survival analysis to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of university marketing efforts. For example, the university may now observe the impact on a student's likelihood to apply due to different types of student outreach, marketing campaigns, website redesigns, and more.
