In my academic career, I specialized in curriculum development, instructional design, and student support services to help ensure courses met learners where they were. That same attention to detail and ability to work within frameworks led to work on textbooks—and from there, other manuscripts both fiction and nonfiction. (I primarily work in the business and personal development spheres in nonfiction and cozy mysteries and thrillers in fiction, but have worked on a wide range of titles, with more than 150 books published to date.) I pride myself on working collaboratively to help my clients see their ideas turn into a book or a course. My literature and writing degrees, in addition to graduate work in education and environmental science, and a varied client base, means I can work within most disciplines; even if something isn't my natural knowledge base, I know the questions to ask to help you tell your story in a way your audience will understand. As head of an environmental nonprofit, an active outdoors person, and a busy freelancer, I pride myself on organization and attention to detail. I've written for a wide range of publications (both bylined and ghost) and in multiple formats—in addition to a long history of creating and managing online and written content for many small businesses—and would like to put those skills to work for you.
