His dissertation focuses on developing hardware-software testbed for exploration and experimentation of adaptive systems. He has been actively publishing papers in the area of...Edwin is currently a Doctoral Candidate in USC’s Department of Astronautics specializing in Systems Architecting and Engineering (SAE). His dissertation focuses on developing hardware-software testbed for exploration and experimentation of adaptive systems. He has been actively publishing papers in the area of multi-UAV systems and systems engineering. Edwin has been a teaching assistant for various introductory and advanced courses in systems architecting and engineering, and a research assistant at USC on research efforts focused on model-based approaches for resilient autonomous systems and system-of-systems, with applications to driverless cars (sponsored by GM) and UAV swarms (sponsored by DoD-SERC UARC). Edwin served on planning and technical committees of the Conference on Systems Engineering Research, a major systems engineering research conference, which is co-sponsored by USC in 2014 and 2017. He is a member of AIAA, INCOSE, and IEEE-SMC societies and since July 2017 full member of INCOSE Technical Leadership Institute. Edwin is also a member of IEEE-SMC Model-Based Systems Engineering Technical Committee. Edwin is the recipient of 2017 Outstanding Engineering Student Award from Orange County Engineering Council and 2018 INCOSE Stevens Doctoral Award for promising research in systems engineering. Edwin received his M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from USC and his B.Eng in Automation and Control from National Polytechnic University of Armenia.
