Hi,
>> See image1 for clarification.
You haven’t provided the image. Please can you attach it so I have a better idea?
>> Initially, the page will display all records in the database table…
You say the list is huge which means if we display all records on the page initially, the page could take a while to load. Is that OK?
>> This is not a chained select solution as the user may not select options from box 1, then box 2 etc, they may start with box 6, then box 3, then box 5 and not choose the other boxes etc, but each time they make a selection, the other boxes should change their contents accordingly.
Ok, I understand the first part but when you say, “…each time they make a selection, the other boxes should change their contents accordingly”, please can you explain how the data in the boxes are linked to each other? For example, if the user makes a selection is say box 5, what would be the logic to filter the contents of the other boxes?
Finally, when a selection is made in a dropdown and the list refreshes, is it OK to reload the page or do you want an AJAX-type refresh?
Thank you,
Hatim
