(100 points) The writer sufficiently demonstrates higher order learning through application, analysis, synthesis, and/or evaluation. (50 points) The writer provides data to support the thesis statement and adequately supports statements with illustrations and/or appropriate references. (50 points) There are no spelling errors and no major errors in grammar and usage. (25 points) The paper has a well-crafted introduction that ends with a clear thesis statement. The paper ends with a strong, relevant conclusion. (25 points) APA style guidelines are followed, including appropriate font sizes, margins, line spacing, page numbers, and page headers. The writer includes an APA-formatted list of References. (25 points) The writer uses quality sentence and paragraph constructions and demonstrates appropriate word selection. (25 points) The paragraphs logically and sequentially defend the thesis statement. Good transitions are evident. (25 points) Total Points/325 REMINDER: The above grading scale is to be used only for the scoring of the student's Critical Synthesis Paper. A grade will be deducted for every day that it is late. Due by 11:59pm (EST/EDT) on Sunday of Week 5. Critical Synthesis Paper Requirements: The final grade for this module will be based on class participation (58%), a test (10%) and a synthesis paper approximately 7 - 9 pages in length (32%). The synthesis paper should be a true integration of your various sources of learning. Utilization of the higher levels of Bloom's Taxonomy will help you articulate your module knowledge. The ORM curriculum is designed to build on your prior and current work experiences, your in-class experiences, and your learning derived from the assigned readings.
