I've been working in Autodesk inventor since 1999 (way before to be bought by Autodesk) I'm expert in this, and I know how to work with sheet metal for fabrication/manufacturing - when I have a model which should made from metal sheet, I'm not making the model and after this to "try making the cutting pattern". I'm making directely the cutting pattern, with respect for the bending radius and angle, the position of the bending line, and most important middle chord of the metal sheet.
