Hello again! Hope you are well! Was wondering if you were interested in a quick, small project? We are writing an article and were going to include the parable about t he blind men & the elephant (I'm sure you are familiar with that!) This is the excerpt from the article. The elephant part is really from the second bullet on:

Incorporating Issue & Event Reporting & Escalation into a crisis plan allows a company to take pre-emptive measures to mitigate the impact of the event while demonstrating to stakeholders, once it does become public, the seriousness with which the organization takes the issue. It also prevents the following problems:

• Relevant information not being escalated promptly leading to a real or perceived slow response

• Increased confusion resulting from different parts of the organization having completely different information and perspective on the risk

As the parable goes, each of the blind men touched a different part of the elephant – one the tail, another the tusk, a third the leg – and each drew completely different and erroneous conclusions about what they had touched – a rope, a pipe and a tree and so on. The purpose of the incident analysis and screening process is to metaphorically take the blinders off so that the elephant in the room can in fact be seen for what it is.

Is this something that you feel comfortable illustrating? If so, how much do you think it would cost? I see your rate is $11/hr. Do you think $25 would be fair? If you are interested, as soon as you can get to it would be great. I'm trying to finish the article in InDesign today. We don't need the illustration but thought it would be fun. Look forward to hearing from you! Jen
