Academic development editor

Academic development editor is involved in the concept development, creation and quality management of innovative learning products. They will implement and develop academic and editorial guidelines. Responsibilities: Concept development • consulting with stakeholders to drive concept development for new learning products • collecting academic requirements and estimating development time • planning customised content for specific markets and learners Quality management • developing and implementing academic and editorial guidelines • reviewing editorial issues with team to improve overall content quality • working with subject matter experts to ensure that content matches learning objectives • ensuring that all delivered learning content meets agreed standards and criteria Materials development • collaborating with team members to take learning products from concept to reality • working with cross-functional project teams to develop multimedia materials for online and offline delivery • writing and editing lesson materials • delivering projects on time and according to business requirements Requirements: • a background in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or Linguistics • 3 years' experience in the field of ESL/ELT • experience in ESL/ELT materials development • excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and consistently meet deadlines • attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in written English • creativity, enthusiasm, energy and team spirit • strong computer skills and the ability to work well in a technology environment
