I am a 32-year-old experienced journalist and translator from Norway. I am currently living in Bergen, a popular tourist city, rich in history and culture, and surrounded by impressive mountains and fjords.
I have a Bachelor of Journalism, from Cumbria Institute of Arts in England, and a Master in the Norse language. I am bilingual, with both Norwegian and English as my mother tongue.
I have prior work experience as an all-journalist and as a press officer. I have experience both as a freelancer and from previous employment in the local newspaper Samningen in Norway. Recently I have been working mainly freelance and have written mostly in English about a variety of topics, including travel, interior design and trail hiking, among others.
As a press officer for an environment organization; Miljøvernforbundet. I am adept at writing articles and press releases, updating social media networks about the latest news and writing newsletters. I have been translating from Norwegian to English, and vice versa both as a freelancer and from my time as a press officer. I do enjoy translating, and recent work includes the Norwegian translations for the online travel guide; the R Guide.
