An Investigation into the use of computerised graphical 'Learning Objects' and their relevance to the learning of abstract concepts.

My project is not for a business it’s to be used academically while teaching. The project will support the teachers while teaching students the UML terms. It’s sometimes really hard for teachers to explain the certain terms of UML, or sometimes students find it hard to understand the main objective of certain terms used, therefore my project will have a graphical representation of the terms used in UML which will ease the process of learning for both students and teachers. And the main advantage will be that it can always be re-used to teach students without need of changing the animation. This will also help deaf students because they can see and understand the terms as well. ? First of all is to define what usable learning objects are. The main idea of 'learning objects' is to break educational content down into small chunks that can be reused in various learning environments. Most importantly students need to understand some terms in order to understand the whole reading. Students will easily understand what certain definitions mean and teachers will save time explaining these terms to students. Students can play the object in the application anytime they want to find a meaning of a certain term which will ease the teaching of UML to students. The aim of the learning object is for it to be re-used as long as it’s a common type of object. Single learning object may be used in multiple contexts for multiple purposes. Therefore, in schools that teach UML will allow the system user to develop more terms within the UML dictionary where required. An example term that will be used will be <<Aggregation>> and <<Generalisation>>.? The animations will be created according to my findings. There are a several software which can be used to create the application.? The project will support the teachers while teaching students the UML terms. The project will support the teaching of abstract concepts such as the relationships between Things in UML diagrams. ? ## Deliverables ALL i need you to do is the main Final Report for that proposal it should also contain things like: Terms are not abstract, and you may eventually decide that the UML is not the best vehicle for demonstrating your 'Learning Objects'. Perhaps it may be better to say things like: The project will support the teaching of abstract concepts such as the relationships between Things in UML diagrams. The words such as allow you to change your mind. Also if you can state what software i will be using and why this particular software to create this graphical software to teach terms of uml in flash 8. please discuss these!
