Hey there, The most optimum way to create such a calculator is to have many drop down lists which could be configured as per your requirement like for example a list in excel which has the type of room like Bath, Kitchen, Living etc. Now, when you are estimating a bid, you would simply be able to select from these options and pre-configured prices will be pulled. Similarly we could have lists for other tasks in a project like paint, interior etc. This will be done through a combination of VBA (macros) and formulas for speed and accuracy. Create a form for user to select rooms and other requirements and system will calculate the estimated cost automatically. All basic information like unit cost could be predefined and updated by the owner.
