Analyze some Data

I am looking at the factors which have a causal link to the haemolysis (Haemolysis is the pathological breakdown of red blood cells which disallows the use of the blood samples to be used for testing at a later date) of Umbilical Cord Blood. This blood is taken from the umbilical cord immediately after the birth. I have data on serum samples taken from the cord following placental delivery. I have 1117 particpants and data on each saying whether the sample is haemolysed, non-haemolysed or both (two serum samples were taken). I have data on each particpant which are possible contributing factors. Maternal factors which may be associated with haemolysis include: age at delivery BMI max temperature during delivery smoking medical conditions intake of aspirin. Neonatal factors which may be associated with haemolysis include Gestational age(in weeks how old baby was when he/she was born) Apgar score at one and five minutes(a score out of ten to decide if the baby is sick or not) Birthweight Gender I want to associate these variables with the degree of haemolysis using statistical techniques. At the moment I just want to look at descriptive statistics, compare frequencies for the variables - smoking, gender and aspirin intake. And then do an ANOVA or Kruskow Wallis on the other variables depending on the presence of outliers. I want to make a demographic table including the p value of these tests. All my data is already entered into SPSS.
