I need to work out the formula used for the figures in Column E.
As you can see, each picture frame is a different size, starting at 30cm wide x 30cm high, through to 203cm wide x 102cm high, (shown in Columns A and B).
Column C is the area of each picture, (i.e. Width x Height = Area).
Column D is the price of each picture frame.
The figures in Column E shows the Price (in cents) divided by the area, i.e. the cost of production per sq.cm.
Please read down Column E and you will see that these numbers reduce as the size increases, which shows that the cost of production per sq. cm. reduces as the frame size increases.
I need to know the formula used for this reduction, (on a per sq.cm. basis), and how the reduction is worked out, so that I can apply the same formula consistently in future in order to make a price list of any size (including sizes not included on my list).
Please work out the formula used for the figures in Column E, where the cost of production for smaller sizes is greater than for larger sizes, and what factor is used for progressively reducing these figures.

The exact formula does not exists. I found you quadratic expression by using statistical methods. This expression gives the mean error 4%. I'll prove the results with graphics.
