Create two excel tools

Hello, I have been working with a MNC based company since last ~ 5 years, as an IT BI DWH Professional. The project is a BI DWH project which covers 3 layers of BI (ETL, Data warehouse & Reporting) and helped me in nourishing my talent in all the technologies around these 3 layers. Below are some key areas of my skills: • Expert on SQL Server, Oracle and MS Access Databases • Expert in BO XI, Cognos and SQL Server Reporting Service (SSRS) • Expert in & designing & Implementation of end to end ETL Process using Informatica & SSIS Tools • Expert in Designing Qlikview Dashboard BI Solution • Expert in ER & Dimension Data modeling • Complete Command on PL/SQL concept e.g. Procedures, Functions, packages and complex queries. • Basic knowledge of Unix Shell scripting • Web Development using Java, CSS, and HTML ,PHP & Java Script • Expert in excel Macro I have experience in all the above areas and during my project work I have completed all of the above tasks. Hello. Here is how I intend to help you: 1- Budget Tool: - The user data will be input via form, which will call the data from the origin file. - Depending on the requirements, the origin file itself can be updated with new information (i.e. the input data) or a new excel workbook can be created, named and saved with the new data. 2 - Aggregate Tool: - When called for, it can pull data from a large number of excel files (>200, but will take time to run) and aggregate into any format as required. That includes aggregating by units or group of units. If required, it can select excel files based on certain criteria to be pulled (i.e. data or naming format). - A separate dashboard will be created to compare budgeted and actual data. I currently work on Excel VBA on a daily basis and I have done a Macro similar to the aggregate tool to compile excel reports into a summary report. I have also done a small workflow system where the user scans the barcode of a sample, retrieves the past data of that sample, adds it into a delivery order (separate workbook), and compiles its information into a more comprehensive database (separate workbook, with sorting by worksheet name (categories). Techniques to be used: a) Budget tool: As per the requirements/Excel template, create an MS Dialog/Worksheet in Excel with buttons to import the fixed format data to excel by writing macros. b) Aggregate tool: Write 2 VB Server scripts and one batch file which will read & write all the Budget Excel files which are placed in a particular folder to a flat file. Using Import tool which was developed earlier to import the data from flat file to excel which has predefined report structure. Issues or Concerns: a) handling of locked Budget tool excel files b) Budget tool template tampered files
