Budget $15 Need someone to create a script in excel (macro) which can take data from multiple files one by one and add to one master file. Tasks: 1. All data contained in multiple slave files must be copied and placed into one Master file which will contain all records consolidated 2. The script will sit inside the created Master file called ‘CombinedData’ 3. Button on Sheet2 called ‘Import Slave Data’ 4. When pressed, all files (except for Master file ‘CombinedData’) in the same directory/ folder as master file will import in 5. Need to only copy data- data remains unchanged in originating slaves 6. Data is processed by one slave at a time, one by one 7. Data is added to Master below existing data row so builds up (should not delete /replace any data in master file) 8. Need to add column ‘File Name’ to column A of Sheet1 for Master file and append the file name for where each record came from for every row added in Master file. This means data from slave will always begin from column B. 9. Need to copy color highlight (important) 10. No need to copy data validation rules. • Admin will ensure format of columns is the same as slave so data is displayed correctly • There are formulas so only values should be copied into master. • The script needs to be versatile so can be used in other scenarios- no hard coding of slave names or full directory name- just whatever is contained in the folder where master file sits it should take.
