I've been writing scripts for years, and recently my work has been featured and well-received on sites like Trigger Street, Talentville, Scriptshadow (in the Amateur Friday area), Amazon Studios, as well as Zoetrope Virtual Studio. In addition, I frequently perform standup comedy around the Chicago area. While much of my work is adult-oriented, I'm perfectly capable of adapting my writing to fit a teen sitcom style and would welcome the challenge of doing something outside of my comfort zone - I've got a six-year-old niece right now, and I've brought the same mindset of altering my sensibilities to fit a more adolescent style. I've always viewed myself as having a more flexible writing style anyway and, although writing a script squared at Nickelodeon may be a challenge, it's one I feel that I'm up for. If hired, I'll bring my years of experience in writing my own original ideas and adapting those of others, as well as knowledge of proper screenplay formatting, great attention to detail, and a willingness to either collaborate or write from a set-in-stone story treatment. And, of course, professionalism. No delays, quick and steady communication, and a full acknowledgment that this idea is your baby - I'm just teaching him/her to talk.
