The requirement is for a real estate advertisement website. Differentiating factors from other web based advertisement sites. 1. It will be solely based on Google Maps, the portal will list properties as points on a map. 2. It will utilize Google maps API’s to give user information such a. Population density of the area they are looking at b. Distance between points of importance to the user , time to travel between those locations and the selected property (Google Maps provides API’s to calculate this information) c. Average property price in the area. d. User will be able to draw a polygon in the map and it should list properties within that Polygon (we call this feature draw a search). 3. Users will be able to create an account for themselves using Facebook, G+ or twitter. And they will have a profile like LinkedIn covering their areas of expertise (like commercial properties, noncommercial properties, Bare lands etc) 4. Users can be part of an organization i.e. a real estate company (like Linked In) or independent 5. Real Estate companies can have their own profiles (just like LinkedIn) a. A visitor could browse the profile of a real estate company and see/choose a broker and properties listed by these brokers. 6. Properties images should be available with some limitation to the image size and quality. 7. We will charge the user through PayPal for listing a property and initially we will make it available for free.
