I need to develop a small device that can play audio files when pressed firmly. You can envision it as an iPod nano but it only plays the Audio file when the button is pressed. Its kind of a small electronic toy for the kids. Please let me know your experience with the similar devices and the cost to build that. I need a finished product with an elegant design. Hello, I am an engineer for a US based RF company. I would keep the cost of your application low as possible using all open-sourced PCBs and code. I would use the Arduino nano and write code for a SD card to play a .wav file when a button is pressed. I would use a 8ohm 1watt speaker to get the voice quality. I have experience is creating audio systems for a tracking company. You would avoid many costs that are associated in manufacturing with purchasing Arduino PCBs and other modules. You can add a small lithium polymer batter that can be recharged via USB. With the .wav file you can record anything you want.
