Develop Client-side JavaScripts for NetSuite ERP Implementation
Background
NetSuite is a totally browser-enabled ERP system. You can check it out and even get a free demo account at [_www.softype.com_][1]. Coder must have access to Skype and be willing to interact with us during normal business hours in the UK.
## Deliverables
Rent A Coder requirements notice: As originally posted, this bid request does not have complete details. Should a dispute arise and this project go into arbitration "as is", the contract's vagueness might cause it to be interpreted against you, even though you were acting in good-faith. So for your protection, if you are interested in this project, please work-out and document the requirements onsite.
Project
Our client is a furniture manufacturer that allows their customer to choose all attributes of the proposed furniture they want constructed. We organize the selection of these attributes in some 10 (tabs on one) HTML screen, with about 20 choices per tab. We will organize and provide the lists of choices for the HTML tabs. However, some JavaScripts will have to be written by the coder to limit choices as the user goes from tab to tab based on the structure we provide. Once the user has been through all tabs and submits their selected choices, then Javascript has to be written to go to the item master (already created by us), pick up the cost of each component item, apply a predetermined markup, and then calculate and return the TOTAL item price.
Tasks:
Once familiar with NetSuite, the tasks are:
1. Do a pilot run with JavaScripting for 2 screens and go over the results with us.
2. Once we OK the pilot, then complete the same for all the screens.
3. After we show it to the customer, be prepared to make adjustments to satisfy the customer’s change requests to the tune of 10% of the project.
Schedule
We are on a tight schedule for the project, we will have one joint session to make sure you understand the organization of the ERP in NetSuite. You have 2 days to do the pilot and then 4 days to do the entire project. There will then be a weeks delay while we get the customer’s feedback. Then you will have 1 day to do the changes we request.
## Platform
Netsuite is compatible with IE 6 and NetScape 7 onnward browsers. Hence the JavaScripts must work there as well.
