Simply I am looking to have an app developed on the Android platform that allows anonymous SMS messages to be sent from it. The client app will poll a central server for any SMSes that need to be sent (via gprs or hsdpa), and then transmit the associated texts via SMS to their recipients, disclosing the "sent from" number (anonymous SMS). Once the SMSes have been successfully sent from the client, it sends the results back to the central server, which time/datestamp and confrims the sent messages. There is also a requirements to develop the "back office" portion of the website including the interfacing with the remote clients, bookeeping and account management. ## Deliverables The main piece of software will be the client app: The app will log-in to the central server and authorise the user. The user will then allocate a number of SMSes they are allowing the central server to send through their device. Once this is complete the app will poll the central server for any available messages to send. the server will send the mobile number and the specific text message to send, up to the maximum number of text the user has authorised. The device will then sending the texts using anonymous SMS method. As each Sms is sent and confirmed, the client will keep a timedate stamp of the event. When all of the SMSes have been sent the client will send the results back to the central server and delete the completed files. It is important to note that at no time should the client app be able to disclose the SMS numbers and/or the messages that are being sent to the user. The central server will keep track of the sent/received messages, the number of pending messages to be sent and the number of available SMSes in the pool. Important things to note are: 1/ the client and server code needs to be very tight in order to minimise the amount of data traffic to be used, in order to user from excessive data on their bill 2/ the local storage of SMSes and messages should be encrypted in some way in order to protect it from being viewed by the user 3/ at no time should the users be able to access which companies or individuals used their SMSes to send the messages (admittedly the will see list of the SMSes they have sent on their bills, but the detail of the mesages will still be unavailable. Lastly, I appreciate this is very early in the process, So I am looking for people with ideas on how they can make this work and with the least amoung of effort. I am proposing the initial app be developed on the Android, but it could also be used on the Iphone. Essentially, it can be used on any phone where they can send an anonymous SMS message. So if someone knows of other phones that are able to do this, then we can eventually include this as well.
