I am trying to build a robotic hand for hobby purposes and as a gift for my nephew's birthday but I am having trouble. The trouble I am having is with flex sensors and the servo motors. I am using Arduino UNO to work on this project. My goal is to bend the flex sensors simultaneously and make the sensors move simultaneously. When I flex the first flex sensor, the servo rotates accordingly. However, when I start the second servo, the first servo and the second servo begin acting strange. They start twitching and moving uncontrollably. This is why I need help in doing this project. I will need the schematics, the code, and a video of this project working before completion. I will also need to be guided through the process. The supplies I'm using are Arduino UNO, 5 x Flex Sensors, 5 x Tower Pro MG946R servos, and 9 volt power supply. According to most people this is all I need. I need this project within the next 30 hours. For someone who knows Arduino, this is a simple project.
Hello, My name is Victor, I am engineer with 4 years of experience working with Arduino. As you can see in my reviews I have the skills and the experience working with Arduino.
Your project sound very impressive and educative for a kid, I don't have all the sensors but I have experience dealing with your problem with the servos. I can help you with the circuit and the code full of comments to make your project runs properly. I can't send you the video but I can help you to make your setup works.
If you are interested in my services I will be happy to help you.
Regards!
Victor
hi
i am an electrical engineer with experience in arduino please share you code . I can help you with it. please reply discuss it further, I am waiting for your response.
regards
I am good in arduino. And i also worked on similar project last year so i have experience of such projects. I can also interfaces it with matlab GUIif you wish which will make it more interesting.
thank you
Hi,
I am an undergrad student pursuing engineering from India.
I have an extensive 3 year+ on hand experience working with arduino. I have designed RC airplanes and RC all terrain vehicles using the arduino and servo motors.
The code you require is a very basic implementation and would be very easy for you to understand also. I will be explaining everything using comment lines and in case you need any other help, fell free to contact me!
I worked with servos on arduino and I think I'll be able to address your situation.
One thing I would like to tell you is you can't connect servos on any PWM pin and expect them to work independently, to understand this you need to know about those many things that arduino hides from the user.
Long story short, there are no 6 independent timers and compare modules for those 6 pwm pins, hence they are managed on 3 timers and can't work independently.
I've actually worked on a very similar Arduino project before involving the use of flex sensors to power motors, and I know that they can be troublesome - I've already got a few suspicions of what it could be. Get in touch with me and we can talk about it.
i have done a 12DOF robot for my final year project who can climb glass wall climbing robot. so i'm pretty much good with servo motors and flex sensor. so i ll be able to help you.
