Delete Browser History Requirements Version 1.0 1/19/2004 High level Business Requirements: * Delete all items in the browser history that have been added since the program started from the user browsing with the applications browser. * Code must be in Visual Basic 6.0 * Code must delete history for all IE browsers from 5.0+ * Code must work for all Windows OS (98, ME. NT, 2000, XP) * Run as simple subroutine call on exit of application. Components Supplied: * Access to client for any questions Work to be done: * Write a Visual Basic 6.0 subroutine to do requested work Development Environment: Windows OS (98, ME. NT, 2000, XP) Visual Basic 6.0 (Required) IE 5.0+ (Required) Process Flow: **Step #1:** Store start date and time when application was started. **Step #2:** Allow user to browse using built in browser with in application using the Visual Basic 6.0 web browser control. Keep track of all browsing activity. **Step #3:** Determine the OS running. **Step #4:** Determine the browser installed **Step #5:** Find History file location based on OS and browser installed. **Step #6:** Open browser history file **Step #7:** Delete any items that have been added to the history file from program while the user was browsing using the applications web browser control by looking for all entries the user navigated to within the application and from the start date and time and then removing that URL from the history file if it occurred during the start date and time and end date and time the user was using the application. Note that this subroutine will be executed on close of the application. **Step #8:** Show any error messages. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Code must delete history for all IE browsers from 5.0+ Code must work for all Windows OS (98, ME.
