Create an application virtualization system that contains a virtual registry and filesystem. The system will provide an application ‘sandbox’ which protects the local OS from modifications and also enables applications to run from guest accounts without local installation. (Exactly as described on **Bid Request Id: 399573** )
The system will consists of the following:
1) An installer or better a dependency analizer - intercept all registry and filesystem calls and write all modifications to the virtual registry and filesystem.
2) An application launcher - when the application is running, virtual files and registry keys will override system files and registry keys where they might collide, otherwise the application can access any system files and registry keys it normally could. All changes to registry and filesystem should be made to the virtual registry and filesystem.
Here's a usage scenario:
1) A user runs our installer and install Microsoft Office into our application virtualization system.
2) The user goes to a new computer which does not have Microsoft Office installed and logs in as Guest.
3) The user copies the virtual registry and virtual filesystem yielded from step 1 to the new computer.
4) The user runs our application launcher to launch Microsoft Word from virtual registry and virtual filesystem.
