Directory on CD-ROM(repost)

I am looking to build a directory which will be distributed on CD-ROM. the directory should be searchable and database-driven. basically, the solution should involve building a database which will later be distributed as an application on CD-ROM New project details: CD-ROM Directory ================ Objective --------- The objective is to develop a "Yellow Pages" directiry which will be delivered on a CD-ROM as an auto-run application. The directory should be browse-able by category or searchable by key word(s). The Interface should have a quick navigation menu preferably on the left which may be eidted any time. I should be able to edit the menu contents . Think of the project as a dynamic website but on CD-ROM or like Microsoft Encarta. The finished application will run off CD-ROM and a provision for installing onto the hard dirve should be made. The Role of the Programmer -------------------------- The programmer will develop an application which will be built into the "Yellow Pages" directory. the application will allow unlimited numbers of categroies e.g auto,computers,apparels etc and unlimited entries per category Address fields will have unlimited entries eg name,tel no,cell no,email,fax,website The programmer will not place the content into the database but will develop a system which will allow the database to be populated later. The application should allow for Adverts to be incorporated in any category the Adverts will be in these formats: JPG, animated GIFs,flash,video clips,HTML pages,PDF The interface of the directory will be customisable in terms of graphics or colour schemes. I would love to see a sample of a similar project. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
