activeX installer

We need a ActiveX installer component for MSIE that downloads a few files and saves them to a temporary directory, and runs them. It should be compatible with Vista/MSIE7 security model. Besides that, it should be created in Visual C++ 8.0. Our current version of this installer component only works up to Windows XP, because it tries to save into the "Program Files" directories, which are protected in Windows Vista. Besides that, it was created in Visual Studio 2003 and we prefer a new project instead of migrating from the existing one. The primary purpose of the installer is to load several package files from an online directory using a HTTP stream (we use our own implementation of such a stream). These package files are encrypted using a public/private key encryption algorithm (again, we use our own implementation of such an algorithm). The installer decrypts the content of these files, and puts them in a subdirectory of the Program Files directory (due to access restrictions, this is one of the main reason the installer is currently not Vista compatible). One of these files is a DLL, which contains the actual application code. The installer subsequently calls the main entry point of this DLL. So it is possible (and probably neccesary) to reuse parts of existing projects, but we would prefer to keep the installer as much as possible separate from the downloaded application. Also, since the actual application code is under strict NDA, we think that's best for anyone getting only involved sideways. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows Vista/XP/2000/Me/98 + MSIE 4-7
