video scratching uses found or appropriated imagery to construct a montage/collage sequence of images. The image sequence is constructed by using edit transitions and special effects.
In this project you are required to use this technique to illustrate a soundtrack (supplied) lasting around 1 minute.
**I will provide this to coder whom I choose.
You may take a literal or oblique approach to the idea of illustration, and work from still or moving image, or some combination of both. Usually you would work from found imagery - so there is a significant information gathering/visual research element to this work.
You are required to document the development of your ideas and your interpretation/translation of the soundtrack. The final working storyboard is submitted with the work.
You approach this work as if it is to be included on a mixed-media CD-ROM promoting the work of a group of artists making this kind of music ??" it is to be created as one-quarter PAL safe area size and should playback at 25 fps .The soundtrack will be supplied as a 16 bit 22.05 kHz .WAV.
The work is to be submitted as a QuickTime format file using XXX compression. A bibliography style list of the sources of all still and moving images you have used is to be included in your Process Folder, along with screen composition sketches and storyboards used to develop your ideas.
submitted along with the aesthetic, communicative and affective qualities of the work and its interpretation of the soundtrack.
