This Python coding project is to implement a bowling scoring service. Basically, something that takes in pins knocked down for players and keeps track of them and calculates and provides their scores. If you were in a bowling alley and looked at the display, it would be the service that powered the numbers behind the display. I am looking for a code that's well-tested and well-documented. The scoring part of it is the main thing that I am looking for and how you model the data, etc. It would be best to show your usage of a REST framework of sorts. Update: in regards to the time, this Wednesday is the last day of the week I can work on the project. Please be efficient if you are interested. Thanks. It is indeed an intriguing problem! I am proposing a data model here. The model stores only the pins of every shot (in a long string). The state of game, frame score and running score are calculated according to the record of shots. The implementation depends on the scope of your project. It seems to me that the project is quite academic -- if it is, I will define the grammar of the string in Backus-Naur Form and use Python Lex-Yacc or like to solve it. The context-free grammar could be overkill for an industry project, where I would write the logic from scratch. I have been working on Django and REST framework intensively.
