I need a simple python script that creates an SSH Tunnel/Port Forward to a remote mysql database. It must work with Python 2.7.8. It should allow connecting to using a username/password, as well as an option to use an rsa key. I should be able to provide the port for the remote server ie [login to view URL]:27. Once complete I should be able to run queries on the remote database just like i would do with a local databse using MySQLdb. NOTE: I do not have a server I can provide access to for you to develop on. You will need to develop and test on your own server, once completed I will run on my local box.

Hello, What operating system do you need the tunnel on? I'm asking because if you are running a Linux based OS we can do this using bash scripting as to avoid an additional dependency. On windows you could use Putty and saved sessions. Of course a Python solution is also possible but I think we should first discuss more about what you need. Thank you for your time! Hello, You don't really need a script to do that. If you open a socks port on your machine with ssh -D, you can work on your database with proxychains. For this work, I'll explain to you how do that (if you have a linux PC)
