We would like a shell script made to tune our server for High performance/ load networking. The script can be run once and the changes it make should survive a reboot. The script will have some error handling and return 0 if its sucessfull.
This is for Centos
The changes below should be made although the exact commancd may not be correct.
sysctl -w "net.ipv4.ip_local_port_range=1024 65535"
sysctl -w net.ipv4.tcp_max_tw_buckets=1800000
sysctl -w fs.file-max=2097152
echo 2097152 > /proc/sys/fs/file-max
echo 1024 61000 >> /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_local_port_range
Edit /etc/security/[login to view URL]:
