We currently run a backup utility called drive snapshot([login to view URL]) on our server using task scheduler for backups, however, we would like to instead have a basic .net application that runs as a service in the background, and runs snapshot command line backup instead. The requirements of the application are. - To run [login to view URL] at required intervals (set using a config utility) using whatever command line options specified (set using a config utility). - Provide email notification (again specified in a config utility) upon successful or unsuccessful backups daily at a set time(send the console output to a specified email address). - Detect when a target backup location is full or nearing full (set percentage full in config) and automatically delete x amount of backups (again configured in the config utility). Any deletions would be added to the log that is sent daily.

I have done similar automation in MS Powershell, I suppose if you are implementing in Windows OS, Powershell would be the best tool. It is incorporated with .Net features also. I can send you a sample flow, if you want.
