The Grant Proposal The grant proposal takes the idea that you've had through the semester, or a new idea, if you choose, and becomes the basis for a major paper. If you choose to do this assignment, the final paper will need to be 10 pages in which you cover the basic idea, target audience, plans for implementation, budget, qualifications. If you choose to write a grant proposal, think seriously about the themes discussed in class and incorporate those ideas into your project. Focus on effective sentence writing. Think about the development of one idea. Consider ways to demonstrate your point visually. You will absolutely need to research your topic. I would consider 20-25 sources a minimum. You will be evaluated based on your introduction, organization, research, writing, diction, demonstrated knowledge of the topic and conclusion. Poor research skills and typos will hurt your grade. 2. For example, you may write a technical manual on assembling a computer. You may also write a technical manual on installing a sewer system, home entertainment system, etc. For your project, you must include step-by-step instructions, visuals, a glossary for your key terms, warnings, a general product information.
